The Monogram canvas Speedy 35 is the original city bag from Louis Vuitton. Styled after the Keepall, and designed as a carry on bag, it appeared in 1932 and sent a shock wave through the fashion world that still hasn't settled. Lets take a closer look.
The Speedy 35 measures 13.8" x 9" x 7.1. That makes it a medium to large sized handbag that's suitable as a day to day purse with some extra space and just big enough for an overnight bag. In Monogram canvas it's brown tobacco color, glossy, soft canvas and gold monogram are unmistakable. The flat bottom and "Boston" shape some say give it the appearance of a small doghouse (though a chic one to be sure).
Famously carried in hand by more celebrities than a fine wine, the Speedy 35 has captivated fashionistas without fail through the decades as it appears in paparazzi photos the world over on the arms of everyone from Jessica Simpson to Madonna, to Beyonce, even Snoop Dogg, strangely enough.
